"A sense of color and tone is the treasure of life" is a philosophy that Gekkoso has held dear since its founding. We want to provide children with a true, historic sparkle during their once-in-a-lifetime, precious period of growth. A sense of beauty is the greatest gift to the future that money cannot buy back.
<Characteristics of Gekkoso paints (watercolors)>
① Vivid colors The pigment particles are ultrafine and uniform in size, which reduces diffuse reflection of light and produces vivid colors. Even when mixed, the colors do not become cloudy and can be expressed without losing saturation. The brightness of the screen when it is made into a work of art is completely different from mass-produced products.
2. Safe and odorless No harmful chemicals, chemical solvents, toxic heavy metals or surfactants are used. The preservatives are also highly safe and are used in extremely small amounts, so there is no unpleasant odor. This is an Enogu that can be used safely even by children who often come into direct contact with Enogu.
●About gouache Watercolor pigments such as gouache and transparent watercolors are made from a "pigment" that gives the color plus a "medium" to fix the color to paper or other surfaces.
"Pigments" are colored powders made from natural substances or chemicals made from petrochemicals. "Mediums" mainly contain materials that make them opaque and matte, viscosity adjusters, and water to adjust the concentration.
The difference between gouache and transparent watercolors is the ratio of pigments. Because gouache contains a lot of pigment, it can hide backgrounds or colors painted underneath, and can be layered.
<Manufacturing process>
1. Mix the pigment, medium, and water evenly.
2. Put it into a special mixer
3. The mixture is carefully kneaded with three rollers, with slight color adjustments made, until it reaches the right consistency.
4. Pack into tubes
5. Apply labels
Although the basic amounts and mixtures are fixed, the same color cannot be obtained by recipe alone. It is the same as pottery, where slight differences in the season or ingredients can greatly affect the result. The craftsman creates the color while judging subtle changes.
