Gekkoso's [Oil paints] [Acrylic paints]

月光荘の[油絵の具][アクリル絵の具]

Without adding anything extra, or making excessive adjustments that would interfere with the color development, these paints are carefully handcrafted by artisans, taking advantage of the inherent characteristics of the pigments. They are characterized by their high saturation, clear transparency, and smooth painting feel.

・Raw materials/ingredients: Natural and synthetic pigments, various oils

Work process: 1. Based on a recipe that has been perfected over many years, the pigments (powdered colors) and oils are precisely measured and placed in a huge bowl, then mixed to some extent with a mixer.
2. The pigment particles are broken down into smaller particles in a special triple roll mill (a machine for kneading). Since the pigments used have different properties, such as different particle sizes, the speed and strength of the rolls are adjusted while understanding the characteristics of each pigment, and the pigments are carefully kneaded to achieve Gekkoso's unique color and viscosity. It takes an average of eight hours for each color, with the artist being there almost all day.
3. The paint is injected into the aluminum tubes one by one using a filling machine.
4. Attach labels with the color names and you're done.
